Waywords: Shadow

We can be forgiven for believing Wayward is all about expressing good things, while less beautiful things fall away magically, but that isn’t so. Becoming Wayward is a painful mess of fits and starts, it’s anxiety, shadow work, and raw, terrifying honesty. It’s personal responsibility for everything.

That is why we need one another, not to do for us, but to see and believe for us, particularly when we can’t. Lift us when we fall, forgive our messes, and reflect back the Wayward, glorious truth of who we are. We’ve forgotten our own grace, but our chosen family offers it back.
